Class of 2014
Foxes

Dear Foxes,

10 years. Dissertations. Weddings. Diapers. Devastating loss. Joyous celebrations. Retinol. Time sure does fly when you’re not living in the same 100 acre radius as your best friends and classmates. That’s why it’s time for…millennial pause…Alumnae Weekend!

That’s right folks, it’s time to gather once again to catch up and show out. There are parties for all your favorite departments, time to catch up with former professors, and most importantly, many, many opportunities to eat Evan’s food. (No magic sandwich. Sorry, we tried!) Make sure to attend our class party in the Trellis Garden where we are going to party like it’s “1924”—not  politically or socially but with a “speakeasy”: think barkeep mustaches, unlit cigars and an alcohol set up that is made to be hidden from authorities. (For obvious reasons, this is a joke.) Of course, if someone dresses up like Calvin Coolidge I won’t be mad.

All Alumnae Weekend events can be found here, on my favorite website: https://alumnaeweekend.agnesscott.org

The more the merrier. If you would like to share your opinion and help organize the class party or take part in the fundraising efforts, please feel free to check out our 2014 class survey:  Complete The Class Reunion Survey.

Additionally, please consider donating to The Fund for Agnes Scott. You can donate online at give.agnesscott.edu.

Alumnae Weekend 2024 registration will open on February 1, 2024.  We encourage you to register early to help us plan for the reunion! With the needs of all foxes in mind, we have attempted to make the price as accessible as possible while still maintaining a celebratory feel. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Until then, yip-yip-yip and warm greetings from all your class officers!

Yours,
Phoebe Perry
Reunion Chair

Fall President’s Letter

To the Agnes Scott Class of 2014 (the foxiest of Scotties):

Greetings! I am writing today on behalf of the fantastic team of Class Officers and members of the Reunion Committee, whose names you can find below. We are so excited to be working together to plan our upcoming 10-Year Reunion, taking place in just a few short months.

Y’all have been busy since we last donned our best business-casual for a night out at Black Cat! I have been awed and inspired by the ways that Foxes have tackled the “intellectual and social challenges of [our] times” all around the world over the last decade. Folks have gone on to be teachers, writers, doctors, parents, lawyers, entrepreneurs, researchers, advocates, activists…I could go on. Our common thread is this—every single Scottie in our class has touched the life of others and made them better—in some small way thanks to the fire we found in ourselves all those years ago, at Agnes.

This coming reunion is a chance for us to celebrate one another for the growth we have cultivated in ourselves, in others, and in our communities over the past decade. We (the Reunion Planning squad) can’t wait to make this experience something that goes on to feed your fire for the next few years.

Over the next few months, you’ll be hearing more from all of us—Class Officers (Gabe, Randal, Aminah), Fund Chairs (Kerry & Tiffany), Reunion Chair (Phoebe), and the Office of Alumnae Relations. Please take a moment to scroll through what we share, so that you can make your voice heard as we pull it all together for Alum Weekend 2024. Some key dates include:

  • November: Fall Giving campaign & Giving Tuesday on 11/28/23
  • January: Collecting Class News all month
  • February: Alum Weekend Registration Opens
  • April: It’s Happening! 10 Year Reunion Weekend on 4/20-4/21/23

I get that times can be tough (especially in this economy), and I can’t lie, some of those communications will be about donating to keep the magic going for future Scotties. If you’re able to do so, I hope that you’ll send a few dollars in. No gift is too small—apparently, there’s at least one alum out there who donates a few cents monthly (#icon). Also, the higher a percentage of engaged alums, the more likely external donors are to support Agnes as well. So, your dollar makes a difference!

Please feel free to share your thoughts on the Reunion at our interest form (URL: https://forms.gle/8HFsY1MgBTxq3JRE6). If you have questions or concerns, you can also send an email to the contact info we’ve shared below.
