In some ways it seems impossible that we are quickly approaching 20 years from our graduation from Agnes Scott, but somehow since then the baby-faced Daniel Craig from Casino Royale has become the longest tenured player of the legendary 007. I am choosing to ignore that Billie Eilish, who wrote the theme for his final turn as Bond, No Time To Die, was six years old on our commencement day and instead focusing on the fact that we have all aged just as well as Mr. Craig, no doubt.
On behalf of all of our class officers, I am excited to invite you to save the date for Alumnae Weekend: April 16-17, 2027. I won’t spill all the beans just yet, but we have a great weekend planned full of opportunities to reconnect, reminisce, and get a little bit rowdy! A couple of highlights are our class party in the Bulloch Center Atrium and a family-friendly cookout lunch. I hope to see you all there next spring!
To warm us all up for the revelry of Alumnae Weekend, Ariane Anderson Wright, one of our Reunion Chairs, will be hosting a Black Cat Virtual Happy Hour! Contact her at ariane.n.anderson@gmail.com or watch our socials for more details.
Speaking of socials, here’s how to stay in touch with us! We are planning several fun connections between now and Alumnae Weekend, and the best way to make sure you don’t miss out is to join one (or both) of our social media groups:
Join (or rediscover) our Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1FG1Xy5hT8/
Join our new WhatsApp Community: https://chat.whatsapp.com/HfQKAeF1FWS4WfHwrIJokT
Another important way we stay in touch is by sharing our class news. Let’s take a moment to recognize that for the last decade, Kristin Hall has been the one gathering those threads and keeping us together. As she prepares to step down from her Secretary role, I want to extend my sincere thanks for her work over the years. Sara Haj-Hussein has volunteered to help out until we formally elect a new slate of officers at Alumnae Weekend. If you have any news to share with the class, for now, please contact both of them (kristinshawhall@gmail.com and shajhussein@gmail.com).
