Class of 1999
Green Berets

Dear Green Berets,

Happy New Year! When you receive this, we’ll be just a few months away from marking twenty-five years since we left Agnes Scott.

We hope by now you’ve started to make your plans to join us for Alumnae Weekend, April 19-20, 2024. The enclosed brochure will highlight details of the many special events planned. We are most excited about our 25th reunion party on Saturday night: Green Berets at McCain Terrace. We have a great group of ’99 sisters working on all the party plans. The theme is “Silver Anniversary” since it’s our 25th.  We hope you plan to wear silver if you can, and we will be pumping out ’90s tunes all night!

We are also excited about the post-Convocation class parade, as we will be handing out green berets to wear and will have a brand-new banner to show off!

Until then, we echo fellow class officers’ calls to support the College with a gift in any amount, to pay forward the investment made in our class more than twenty-five years ago. What was true long before then remains: our beloved alma mater continues to educate students to “think deeply, live honorably, and engage in the intellectual and social challenges of their times.”

See you in April!
Your Reunion Planning Committee

Fall President’s Letter

Green Berets!

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. It is with great excitement that I write to you today, marking a significant milestone in our journey together – the 25th reunion of our Agnes Scott College (ASC) graduation.

As we reflect on the passage of time, it’s astonishing to think about how far we’ve come since our days at ASC. The memories we created, the friendships we nurtured, and the knowledge we gained have all played a pivotal role in shaping who we are today.

This reunion is not just an opportunity to reconnect with old friends and relive cherished moments; it’s a celebration of our collective achievements. Over the past 25 years, our ’99 community has flourished in various fields, from business and technology to education and healthcare.

I invite you to join us for a weekend of festivities to commemorate this special occasion. It will be a time of laughter, nostalgia, and inspiration, as we look back on our journey and envision the bright future that lies ahead.

Alumnae Weekend will take place April 19-20, 2024 on campus. We encourage you to bring your families and loved ones to share in the joy of this momentous occasion. Please plan to wear something glittery/glitzy/silvery for our class party on Saturday night. And don’t forget your dancing shoes!

For up to date information regarding Alumnae Weekend, please visit the Alumnae Weekend website HERE. Information will also be distributed among the class on Facebook, Instagram, and snail mail.

Lastly, be on the lookout for outreach from our class fund co-chairs, Gemma Philage and Ashlea Mittlesteadt. We encourage gifts to the College in increments of 25 to celebrate our big year: $2.50, $25, $250, or more! It is our participation in the annual fund that matters most, so give as you are able.

If you have any questions or need further information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Alumnae Office or to me.

I look forward to seeing each of you next April!

Warm regards,
Shaunda Blackwell Fales
