Class of 1969
Raggedy Ann

Dear Classmates,

We all may be past the three quarters of a century mark, but Raggedy Ann is just turning fifty-five!  And she, along with the help of your Reunion Committee, has been busy planning our 55th reunion.

Please make YOUR plans now to join your classmates for Alumnae Weekend 2024: April 19 – 20.

Some highlights of the weekend include:

Anna Young Club Dinner

As members of the Anna Young Club, we are all invited to the dinner which will take place on Friday, April 19 from 6–8 p.m. in Evans Dining Hall.

Class Meeting and Convocation

Our class meeting will take place on Saturday, April 20 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Frances Bailey Graves Auditorium in Campbell Hall, followed by Convocation from 11 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. in Presser Hall.

Class Celebration

Our class party will take place on Saturday, April 20 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. in the beautifully renovated Alumnae House and Garden.  We will enjoy a sumptuous dinner buffet along with favorite libations and take our class picture.

You can see a full schedule of all Alumnae Weekend 2024 activities in the enclosed brochure and register by mailing the enclosed registration form with a check.  Or you may register online and pay by credit card at alumnaeweekend.agnesscott.org.  You can see who has registered to attend on this website.  If you cannot attend the reunion, we hope you will join us virtually through our class website at www.ascclassof1969.com where you can provide information about yourself (and peruse information submitted by your classmates) in a password protected section.  You can also share the latest news and pictures on our Facebook page, Class of 1969 Agnes Scott College.  And don’t forget to support the college by giving to The Fund for Agnes Scott during this reunion year.  Your gift will help ensure that Agnes Scott continues to provide tomorrow the quality educational experience we received fifty-five years ago.  For more information, visit give.agnesscott.edu.

Make your plans now so you don’t miss the reunion fun, because there will be plenty of it!  But most important, don’t miss the friendships – those that have been going strong for fifty-five years and those that we rekindle when we’re together again.

Fall President’s Letter

Dear Class of 1969,

It is so hard to believe that we are just a few months away from our 55th Reunion. Mark your calendars now for the weekend of April 19-20, 2024. (If you register on the day registration opens, Feb. 1, 2024, there is no fee for registration that day.) We had such a great time reconnecting with good friends at the 50th and those friendships become more cherished as time passes. We are all enriched by our time at Agnes Scott, all she taught us, and especially the wonderful people we met along the journey. Please plan to join us for good food, fun, and “sistership”.

Our class party will be in the Alumnae House and Garden. Your reunion committee got a taste of some of the food to be offered that evening, and it was delicious. We also had the option of touring the venue for our party. The Alumnae House has been renovated and is beautiful. Join us on April 19 and 20 as we revisit the good memories, funny stories, and heartfelt times of growth and strength gained through shared experiences.

At our planning meeting for the 2024 reunion, President Zak shared new recognition (national ratings) for Agnes Scott: US News and World Report rated us #1 for Most Innovative 6 years in a row, #2 for Social Mobility, #3 for First Year Experience, #4 in Learning Communities, and #6 in Alumnae Networks (Princeton Review). She also talked about the strong financial aid and scholarships at Agnes Scott. One hundred percent of students are recipients of either aid or scholarships.

Some highlights of information you will be receiving from us prior to the reunion are: requests of updates on your contact information and help with locating classmates for whom we have no information or outdated information, letter from Reunion Chair, giving opportunities and challenges, Facebook info (Class of 1969 Agnes Scott College), class website (ascclassof1969.com), ASC Alumnae Weekend Website (alumnaeweekend.agnesscott.org) goes live with reunion details on October 25.

Be looking for your save the date card for our 55th Reunion and fall Fund Chair letter. If you have any questions about Alumnae Weekend April 19-20, 2024, please feel free to contact us or the Alumnae Office.
