Classes of 1949, 1954 & 1959

Dear Agnes Scott Alumna,

We are excited to invite you to Agnes Scott’s Alumnae Weekend 2024, April 19-20! As members of the 65th, 70th and 75th Reunion Classes, we hope you will join together to celebrate your milestones. Please find the schedule and all of the details for the weekend in the enclosed brochure. The preferred method of registration this year is online at the Alumnae Weekend website: https://alumnaeweekend.agnesscott.org/. If you need help, the office is here to assist you! Please call the office and leave a message, or send an email – 404.471.6323 or alumnae@agnesscott.edu. We will get back to you to help you register by phone.

Here are a few Alumnae Weekend highlights:
Kicking off on Thursday evening for those of you who are members of the Tower Circle Giving Society or the Frances Winship Walters Society, special invitations to a reception will be forthcoming.

Friday begins with a memorial service honoring all of our dear, departed Scotties followed by the Outstanding Alumnae Awards Luncheon. In the afternoon, college leadership will host the “Agnes Scott Evolving” panel of speakers. This year’s theme is, “How are We Living the Agnes Scott Mission?” Agnes Scott faculty will be leading class sessions during the “Back to Class” time followed by a time for mingling with new, current, and retiring faculty. For all, these events will be followed by the Anna Young Club Dinner. If your dancing shoes need a workout, all are invited to stay afterwards for The Hub Sing and All-Alumnae Dance Party in The Hub.

Saturday begins with your class reunion breakfast, featuring mimosas and class photos, in lieu of a class meeting. Of course, if you want to help keep your class connected and strong, please feel free to make that part of the conversation, and let staff members from The Alumnae Office or the Fund for Agnes Scott Office know of your interest! After breakfast, gather in Presser Hall at 11:00 a.m. for the Alumnae Convocation. Convocation includes the annual meeting of the Agnes Scott Alumnae Association, with college updates, Alumnae Board elections and the trophy presentations for giving to the Annual Fund, which provides vital financial support to our beloved alma mater.

The weekend includes the Alumnae Luncheon in Letitia Pate Evans Dining Hall, tours of campus, and an opportunity to greet President Lee Zak in the Scott-Sams House.

Please remember golf carts will be available to assist you on campus throughout the weekend. We hope you will make plans to come to many events!

If you have questions, please contact the Office of Alumnae Relations at 404.471.6323 or alumnae@agnesscott.edu. We look forward to seeing you in April!

Warm regards,
Mary Rinaldi Winn

Fall President’s Letter

Dear Agnes Scott Alumna,

We are excited to announce Agnes Scott’s Alumnae Weekend 2024: April 19-20! As members of the 65th, 70th and 75th Reunion Classes, we invite you to join together to celebrate your milestones, while letting the Alumnae Office help by planning your events.

There are a few changes from reunions past, such as who plans your reunion party (the Alumnae Office), and when your reunion gatherings will be held (from Friday night to Saturday morning). I hope that this Alumnae Weekend leads to happy gathering with classmates on the Agnes Scott campus and a memorable time for all!

At the reunion, you may want to compare notes on things you and your classmates took for granted that younger Scotties can’t imagine…such as a single phone on each floor of Inman, no jeans unless they were covered with a raincoat when walking across campus, and female PhDs were called “Miss” or “Mrs.” while the men were called “Dr.”

Please remember golf carts will be available to assist you on campus throughout the weekend. We hope you will make plans to come to many events. The schedule will be available on the Alumnae Weekend website at https://alumnaeweekend.agnesscott.org/

We hope to see you on campus in April, however if you are unable to join in the fun, please send an update about yourself to your class secretary or one of your class officers; alternatively, you can always send your updates to alumnae@agnesscott.edu:
